Charity skydive raises over £1000 for the Butterwick Hospice

Ever wanted to find out what it would be like to free fall from 10,000 feet? Well some (crazy) members of our team have found out after taking part in a charity skydive in aid of the Butterwick Hospice.

The 120mph skydive took place at the Peterlee Skydive Academy over the weekend and we are proud to say that we have so far raised over £1000 for the Butterwick Hospice – a charity close to the hearts of the team here at Signal Telecom.

For those that don’t know, the Butterwick Hospice has been caring for communities throughout the North East for over 30 years. They provide care to children & adults suffering life limiting illnesses and rely heavily on donations from the communities it serves to continue providing care freely to families across the region.

“We chose The Butterwick Hospice after visiting the charity and seeing first-hand their fantastic work. They really do provide amazing care to families, and their support makes a huge difference to their patients and families.

The majority of their running costs for the year are through donations or fundraising activities. Therefore we are delighted to have so far raised £1000 and would like to thank everyone who has sponsored us so far.

We had an incredible time and some of the team are looking at even taking it on as a hobby!”

We are still collecting donations so if you would like to donate please, check out our Just Giving page here .
